In an innovative partnership, LEDsafe united with Parkmore Shopping Centre to usher in a new chapter of eco-conscious retailing. Nestled in Victoria's bustling shopping sphere, Parkmore stands as a beacon of progress and sustainability. This collaboration marks a significant leap towards integrating green technology within the retail domain, with LEDsafe at the helm of transforming Parkmore's lighting landscape.

The initiative is a cornerstone in Parkmore’s journey towards environmental stewardship, marrying advanced LED technology with the centre's vibrant atmosphere. By retrofitting the space with LEDsafe's cutting-edge solutions, the project not only yields substantial energy and cost efficiencies but also elevates the shopping experience to new heights of luminosity and allure.

Through this venture, Parkmore is not just illuminated; it's transformed, showcasing the power of light to inspire change and lead the way in sustainable retail excellence.

LEDsafe was tasked with designing a solution to enhance energy efficiency, lower emissions, and reduce operational costs. After thorough analysis and an in-depth investigation of the existing infrastructure, we identified that the centre was outfitted with an array of inefficient lighting technologies, including Tungsten Halogen downlights, High Pressure Sodium, Metal Halide lamps, T5 fluorescent battens, and Compact fluorescent downlights. Our solution entailed a comprehensive upgrade to state-of-the-art LED lighting, a move that now realizes annual energy savings of $94,531 for the centre. The benefits extend beyond energy savings alone, with the total annual savings on maintenance and energy combined reaching $161,750, and a staggering $1,617,502 saved over ten years. This strategic upgrade to LED lighting not only significantly reduces the centre's carbon footprint and operational costs but also achieves a simple payback period, including installation costs, of under 2 years, marking a significant milestone in sustainable commercial lighting solutions.
